Odisha CM will meet with investors and industrialists during a 3-day visit to Mumbai


Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is on a three-day trip to Mumbai from Tuesday where he will attend an investors summit and hold talks with industrialists from various sectors, persuading them to invest in Odisha .

Among the key industrialists the Chief Minister is expected to meet with are Chairman of Aditya Birla Group, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal of Vedanta and Anand Mahindra of Mahindra Group.

While the investor meeting will be held at the Trident Hotel, individual meetings are scheduled at the Oberoi.

The government of Odisha has already held roadshows in Mumbai inviting investment in the IT, downstream metals, renewable energy, chemicals, plastics and advanced electronics manufacturing sectors. He has also held previous investment summits in Dubai and New Delhi.

The chief minister’s visit comes months ahead of the third edition of the Make-in-Odisha conclave scheduled for November 30-December 4. The top. The objective of the summit includes highlighting manufacturing capabilities and investment prospects in many fields in Odisha.

The previous two editions were held in 2016 and 2018, while in 2016 Odisha received over $30 billion in investment proposals. In 2018, the state government secured investment intentions of about $50 billion.

Ahead of the Chief Minister’s meeting, Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra met with some of the investors in Mumbai to explain to them the benefits they could get from the Odisha government including policies, arrangements, one-time grants and support institutional from start-up to commissioning of projects.

An official statement said the Chief Secretary interacted with representatives from around 15 companies including IMP Power, ThyssenKrupp India, Crisil Ltd, Rochem Separation System and NALCO and the wide range of opportunities available in various industries. investment. Company representatives have also expressed their intention to invest in Odisha.

While in Mumbai, Chief Minister Patnaik will also visit the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and attend the opening ringing ceremony.
